Deputy PM says 1,200 AI-focused startups to get 13 bln rbl in aid

MOSCOW, Jun 9 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will give more than 13 billion rubles to over 1,200 startups developing technologies in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry under national program Digital Economy, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said late on Tuesday at a meeting.

“Important results of the federal projects will be support of developers of AI solutions via grants, accelerating programs, and subsidies of pilot launches in the industry,” Chernyshenko said.

The government also set the rules of subsidy allocation, including support of pilot testing of AI technologies in the priority industries and grants for small businesses involved in the development and commercialization of AI solutions, he said.
